I have been celabate for over 11 years. I have learned alot because of this but I feel I still have questions. Where is my Souls mate? And when is the right time to be or not to be with her.

Re: What are the Buddahs teachings about celabacy ?(to F# or not toF# that is the question)
Fri, September 7, 2007 - 9:57 PMthe buddha said not to misuse sex. if you are serious about your meditation, you eschew sex because it is a distraction and a root cause of unhappiness, being so closely tied to desire. but for people who do not choose to lead a monastic life, the buddha is understood as saying to keep your sexual life within the bounds of marriage or agreement with your partners, that is keep your sex life so that it does not bother others or consume yourself, if in your celibacy all you think about is sex, you should etiher admit that you need and want sex, or use these feelings as the teachers about the power of desire. If its just a matter of how long you can hold out, you should meet someone soon. -
