Everyone Dies
Thursday, the 22nd of March, 2007

Everyone dies.
Jesus died.
Buddha died.
What does that say about everyday folks like me and you?

The question is NOT if we are going to die.
The question is How are we going to die.

Shall we die consumed with selfishness
and it’s fear, regret and aggression?
Or do we choose to die in peace
and it’s insight, love and joy?

That is a good way to die.
Couldn’t that also be a great way to live?

Om Mani Padme Hum,

Ii dunno, call me sceptical. I like your posting, good messages...but then you have to go and ruin it with adverts for your website and healing/counselling service? Oy Vey! LOL

And yes, everyone does die. My beloved mother just passed a year ago. I don't believe we always have a choice in how we are going to die...ie selfish or in peace. My mother had a stroke several years before she passed and to a great extent it changed her personality and she had very little control over some aspects of it. Call it karma, fate, whatever...she didn;t have a choice....she did not die the person she truly was.

wisdom is. the message is lightly impeded by the self promotion, but only lightly so. may all things needed, arrive. may all beings benefit. :)

Embracing death and life with a mind of peace, joy and compassion. It is a goal. I have come quite close to death a few times this life time. Close enough to develop a relationship with death. I want to say I don't fear death but i believe that fear still resides within me. However, when I am focused on the path - in the moment. There is no place for fear.

and creeping closer to an uncertain moment every second that passes

We know it intellectualy, yet how many of us really go to bed knowing we may not wake up...seriously

and how many of us think we will make it to the end of another day...
